It is ironic because we're more obese than we have ever been as a nation, and yet at the same time we look at ourselves more critically in the mirror every day.

Think about it - you get to eat as much meat as you want. You can have bacon for breakfast, beef-steak for lunch, pork rinds for dinner - practically any-thing that you want as long as it doesn't involve starch.
