As a wedding and event organizer, I'm subject to more than my fair share of indignation & rage. You see, til people plan their first wedding day, they not ever think about how much wedding ceremonies cost. They want to have inexpensive weddings, yet they also wish to have all of the glitz and glamor. The issue is that, even if you buy low-priced bridal gowns, reasonably priced wedding cakes, cheap bridesmaid dresses, & all the rest, it will still add up to a lot of money. The bottom line is that, if you wish to have that reasonably priced wedding day, you have to be willing to make sacrifices.

I am not saying that having inexpensive weddings is impossible. If you're willing to have a small wedding day ceremony with only a few of your very best friends there, you can do it for quite a realistic price. You can make it distinctive by incorporating touches like top wedding songs. The issue is that, if having inexpensive weddings is your intention, you have to plan everything around it. That means that you need to have a small guest list, make reservations at some inexpensive place, have some reasonably priced wedding day dress, rent a tuxedo for the groom, & play top wedding songs on a less pricey sound system, normally scrimp and save at every opportunity. Some of my customers have actually taken their own wedding photographs to save on the cost of hiring a wedding day photographer!

The bottom line is that the most inexpensive wedding ceremonies are done in a judge's chambers. Everything else which you do costs further money. Some families go into debt for years due to what they spend on holding a grand, elaborate wedding day. To me, it seems like a pity. When I meet clients who truly wish to have reasonably priced wedding ceremonies, I tell them to have them in the back yard. That way, they can save on wedding reservations - and play your top wedding songs on a boombox, if essential! If they're truly ambitious, they can even cater it them-selves. If there are going to be more than 30 people there, however, this is normally not an awfully good idea.

I guess that it all depends on what you expect from your wedding. When I first became married, all I wanted was some uncomplicated ceremony to give my love to my wife. If this is all that you wish as well, it will be quite easy for you to plan some inexpensive wedding. If, on the other hand, you wish to have an elaborate party with all of your friends & family, you will have to pay for it.
